Eligibility & Program Rules
To ensure we can continue providing the $50 Mastercard reward to patients, we maintain strict eligibility requirements. Please review the rules before booking.
Who Qualifies for the $50 Reward?
- New Patients Only:
You must not have visited the specific clinic you select in the past 36 months.
- 19 Years or Older:
You must be the age of legal majority in British Columbia to enter into our Terms of Service and receive a financial payout.
- Completed Eye Exams:
The reward is only issued after you have physically attended your appointment and paid for a comprehensive eye exam.
- Platform Bookings:
You must initiate your booking request exclusively through NextEyeExam.com. Walking in or calling the clinic directly voids the reward.
What Disqualifies You?
- Expired Claims:
You must upload your itemized clinic receipt within 30 days of your appointment date. Late submissions will not be processed.
- Government Coverage (MSP) Restrictions:
Provincial healthcare regulations prohibit clinics from offering financial incentives for publicly funded services. If your exam is fully OR partially covered by BC MSP (e.g., you are under 19, over 65, or have a specific medical condition), you are legally ineligible for the $50 reward. This applies even if you pay a copay or top-up fee.
- Partial Exams / Follow-ups:
Booking a quick contact lens check, a follow-up, or a partial exam does not qualify. It must be a full, comprehensive eye exam.
- Fraud & Abuse:
Forged receipts, duplicate accounts, or canceled credit card charges will result in permanent bans from the platform and forfeiture of all pending rewards.
